: How to defeat spam at the rootsJust about everyone goes trough the hassle of removing unnessecary spam in their inbox every day. If you have a fresh and unused email address and want it so stay clean of spam mails then you should consider these steps bellow. But to understand why you should consider these steps we will talk about spiders (also known as: bots, address harvester, parser, the list goes on..) first.Never think your email address is safe because a human beeing has to register or do anyother fancy stuff to see your address. And please consider that today almost anything is beeing spidered by google and other bigger search engines. That means that entering your email address in private guestbooks or bulleting boards is not safe at all, because it is indexed by these engines. Most email address harvester start their search in the big indexes like google, dmoz or yahoo. In these days you can automate about everything a human can do except writing semaphorically correct letters or articles. Even if you display your email address as an image on your bussiness website the bots will be able to decipher it and get your mailbox filled with unnesecary spam.A good script or bot can even knock out these fancy captchas.7 steps how you can avoid getting your new email address awash with spam.1. Do not enter your real email address in guestbooks or bulletin boards (even if they are register only).2. Do not activate images or even html emails in your email client. When loading images there is the risk that you will send your identification to the spammers server and he will set your email address to valid (and probably resell it). 3. If you really want to give your email address away, you should obfuscate it as much as possible (still human readable though). As an example for your. name@example use your[dot]name(at)example[dot]com, this will not stop all the bots but you will get less spam for sure.4. If you have your own domain you should use the catch all function and use email addresses like iregisterhere@yourdomain so you can always block that specific address when someone begins sending spam or sold your address.5. If you only want to read some information on a register only bulletin board or site you should use a disposable email address like mailslapping/ .6. Use a good antivirus and mal-,spy - and adware detection tool. They often steal your addressbook and resell the addresses, including your own.7. Do not use those fancy and 99 percent useless browser toolbars. They often include malware and/or spyware that can even capture data you enter in web forms. You are on the safe side if you do not blindly trust the sites which want you to enter your email address. If you use your email address for direct contact with a serious business or company there is most likely no harm. Deactivate HTML rendering of your emails in the mail client of your choice. If you use a email address from a free service like GMX, Yahoo, or your local provider. There is mostlikely an option which lets you filter spam on the server. This way you can stop spam before its in your inbox. Its always better to block aggressive and explicitly allow the sender addresses you want. This way you probably loose a mail or two, but it is not an email from someone you really need to receive mails. There are also some good blacklists out there. If you can configure your mailserver to use them (or your mailclient) then you really should. These blacklists grow everyday and are pretty well up to date. One of them is SpamHaus (just google for email blacklist). It depends on your needs but the more of these steps you can follow the less spam you will get.

Pool tournament eve and can t sleep
The title Pool Tournament Eve above would be more accurate if it said day instead of eve. As I type this article, 4:36 in the morning, March 1, 2008, I should be sleeping. Tomorrow is the annual Dr Cue Tournament here in Pueblo Colorado. Billiards is pretty popular here in Pueblo. This tournament is the largest held here. Players come from all over the State of Colorado and sometimes a few other states. We have 2 BCA (Billiards Congress of America) National Champions residing here in Pueblo along with many other players who shoot lights out. Dr. Cue (Tom Rossman) puts on a trick shot exhibition the night before the tournament. I attended this show last night where I payed my entry fee of $40 and watched Tom put on a great show as usual. The pool hall where this tournament is played is about 15 minutes from my house. I made it home by 10:30 PM and finally fell asleep around 11:30. Right on nice job. Get some rest before the tournament. Not. My eyes popped open around five till two and I have not been able to get back to sleep. Thursday night wasn’t much better because I only slept about 4 hours. I am hoping that writing this post gets me tired. I will be bringing my lap top to this tournament and plan to report on the event between my matches. I will also be bringing my video camera which is also a pretty cool digital camera. This should make for some cool reporting and hopefully some interesting and exciting content. Between a couple of brain freeze attacks and and watching some billiards on my DVR another half hour has gone by. It is now 5 in the morning and I must be present in the pool hall by 10:00 AM. Ouch. Don’t they know that pool players are not early risers by nature? Well maybe my plan is working. I just experienced a yawning attack. I think I will attempt to get about 3 or 4 more hours sleep time in before the big Dr Cue Pool Tournament today. That’s it for now. To Your Run Out Success, Ted
Lighting solutions provide ambience save money and help the environment
When it comes to your home's ambience, lighting speaks volumes. Soft lighting that infuses your bedroom with a warm glow can envelope you with a sense of comfort and relaxation. Bright fluorescent lighting can lend an industrial air to your kitchen, while track lighting adds drama and flair. Bright outdoor lighting can help secure your home, while more discrete lighting can set the stage for evening gatherings of friends and family. The wrong type of lighting not only diminishes your home decor, but it can also leave an unwanted environmental footprint and raise your energy bills in the process. Experts agree that you can lower your energy costs by over 25 percent simply by using energy more efficiently, and that switching from incandescent light bulbs to compact fluorescent bulbs means cutting lighting-related energy usage by upwards of 60 percent. There are several lighting products available that can both reduce your home's environmental impact and enhance your home's decor. They include: Touch Lamp Dimmers: A touch dimmer converts a regular lamp into a touch light. Essentially, it converts a single-wattage bulb into a three-way bulb, in that with each successive touch, the light cycles from low to medium to high to off. Ideal for table lamps, floor lamps, desk lamps, and multiple bulb lamps, a touch lamp dimmer allows you to set the lighting to suit your mood - from touch & glow to ultra-bright - while saving energy and providing you with extended bulb life. Touch Switch: A touch switch can instantly convert an electrical outlet without an on/off switch into one that's activated with the touch of your finger. It eliminates the need for rewiring, and works well with compact fluorescent bulbs, incandescent bulbs, and halogen bulbs, as well as holiday lights and under-cabinet lighting. The convenience of the touch switch makes it easy to turn off lights when they're not needed, thereby saving on energy costs. Dusk-to-Dawn Light Controls: Unless you arise at dawn, chances are good that your outdoor lights are on during daylight hours. Dusk-to-dawn light controls screw into the light sockets and are activated by sunlight, so that the light automatically turns on at dusk and off at dawn. Plug-in versions of dusk-to-dawn light controls serve the same purpose inside the house, making them ideal for giving your home a lived-in look while you're away. Plus, these light controls can extend bulb life by up to 500 percent! Bulb Life Savers: Bulb life savers screw into the bulb socket and extend bulb life by making the filament burn cooler and dimmer. They not only allow you to use less energy, but they are ideal for bulbs that are hard to reach. Bulb life savers are even available for chandelier-sized bulbs. Touch lamp dimmers, touch switches, dusk-to-dawn light controls, and bulb life savers all help you to save on energy and bulb costs while leaving a smaller environmental footprint. In the process, they add beauty and functionality to your home decor - definitely a winning combination!
Five strategic steps to catch a shark from the beach
Fishing is something that many people consider a process of luck and chance. For example, the average gentleman who approaches the local waterway on a Sunday afternoon has a chance of catching a specimen. But does his lonely prawn – sitting in front of an oversized sinker, slowly drifting downstream – set a scene for a positive or negative chance of a capture? I firmly believe that fishing should be approached with a goal and the necessary knowledge and skills in order to maximise success. The fisherman who envisions an eighty-two centimetre flathead (goal) and visits a sandy bank on sunset accompanied by a run-out tide and the correct outfit, is significantly increasing the chances of achieving his goal. Land Based Shark Fishing (LBSF) can only be successful when skill is relied on, much like the gentleman targeting an oversized flathead. Certainly, someone who views capturing a big shark as chance or luck will never be successful. Catching a large specimen from the beach requires consideration of the strategic key points that follow. 1. Choosing the right bait is a large part of this operation and after many years of testing different specimens the local eel and ray populations have produced outstanding results. These baits last in the water for over twenty-four hours and are gorged on by big hungry sharks. 2. Tide times and moon phases are a primary consideration for LBSF and fishing time must be optimised around certain strategic points. For most sharks, fishing a run-out tide on a new moon will almost guarantee results. Some of our local crew have predicted strikes within thirty seconds of a low tide change. 3. Rigs must be made with large ‘J’-style hooks (14O – 16O) and crimped onto insulated wire, as micro voltages generated from bare cable and salt water consistently deter potential customers. Taped coat hanger wire can quickly be converted to a three-prong anchor that should be bound to the cable to secure the bait to the seabed, minimising drift. Furthermore, cable or electrical ties are the ultimate devices for securing a large eel or ray to a rig for optimal bait presentation. 4. The right equipment is essential even though it may be a large investment. Penn international 50 or 80 size reels or similar Shimano Tiagra set-ups work brilliantly. Spooling these units with 80 to 100 pound lines and mounting them on 24 or 37kg rods will usually convince most large sharks to turn their head toward the beach. Black Magic belts and Braid harness set-ups are also critical when a strike is converted to a battle. 5. Using an inflatable craft powered by a small outboard should be enough for bait deployment. Environments such as Moreton Island in Queensland, Australia offer a sharp drop off which means bait can be confidentially dispatched into deep water. Deploying baits just over drop-offs or in three to ten metres of water often produce good results. Remember that deploying baits near the horizon only reduces the amount of line you have to control a specimen. So are you still pondering whether catching a specimen is simply chance? Well, once you consider the intimacy of this procedure, and understand that serious knowledge and skill is involved, you’re ready to start. Don’t be discouraged if your initial attempts are not successful – simply try different locations until you get a strike. Following the above recipe will improve your strike rate incredibly and in a short time you will be predicting your next encounters. May the hub of your reel be seen regularly!
How debt consolidation can save your finances
Millions of people struggle with credit card debt, barely able to make the minimum payments. they watch their credit card balances grow each month—longer after they’ve snipped their plastic and sworn off making additional charges—because what they’re really paying for is the interest. They’re not making any dent into the principal (the actual amount charged for purchases), they’re just paying the credit card companies’ lending fees. Because of this, they can spend decades in debt with no hope of escape. Except for debt consolidation. Debt consolidation allows you to transfer your debts into a lending arrangement with lower interest rates and easier terms. This means you are actually paying off your debt, rather than just keeping your creditor at bay. For many people, debt consolidation is the only venue for financial freedom. However, when shopping around for a debt consolidation package, it’s important to look at the terms, and keep your calculator at hand. You want something that will help your financial, either by giving you easier terms (so that you don’t skip payments and end up shouldering surcharges and late fees) or pushing down your interest rates. And for you to truly see if that debt consolidation package works, you have to look at annual percentage rate, or APR. There are different types of APR, and when you talk to a debt consolidation company, ask them what kind of APR they will be charging, and how much. For example, will they have an introductory APR? Meaning, they will apply a certain rate for a particular and limited period of time, which will give you breathing room as you “catch up” with your debt through more generous interest rates. However, this is only effective if you can see yourself making large headway—either by making bigger payments—within the time period where the introductory APR is applied. Also ask about their balance transfer APR. Again, ask how long this rate will be applied, and what kind of interest rates you’ll be given once that period lapses. You should also ask for a breakdown of balance transfer fees. Some debt consolidation companies waive these fees, as part of their promotion efforts, but you should look at the fine print. They may be hiding these fees under higher interest rates. The best way to compare various packages is to compute the total amount you will be paying, some websites offer online calculators for easy computation. Another advantage of debt consolidation is that it’s more convenient. Instead of paying several creditors—credit card, mortgage, salary loan—you make one payment to one company. This reduces the risk of you forgetting to pay, and cuts down on the hassle of issuing several checks on different due dates. It is also easier to negotiate for some leeway on the months that you can’t make a particular payment. Many people also find that debt consolidation simplifies the task of budgeting, and helps control the temptation to “skip” paying a particular bill. They set aside a particular amount each month, which is sent to one account.
Sulfites
Sulfites have been used for more than two thousand years, mostly as a preservative in both drinks and food. They are also used to sanitize fruit, such as wine grapes or food found in salad bars. Sulfites can bleach foods as well, as with potatoes and corn. About 1 in 100 people have sensitivities to sulfites. And among these people, about five percent are clinically allergic to sulfites. As a result, the FDA has even required a sulfite warning to be placed on wine bottles containing sulfites. How do you know if you are sensitive or allergic to sulfites? Signs can include headaches, rashes, cramps and lightheadedness. Serious reactions to sulfites are possible, including a life threatening anaphylactic reaction. Interestingly, those with asthma, liver problems or other allergies are most susceptible to sulfite reactions. But anyone can be affected by ingesting sulfites. Sulfites are found virtually everywhere today. But there are things you can do to avoid sulfites. Most importantly, if you are allergic, do not eat in restaurants or places where food is prepared for you. Never eat food from a salad bar, which is probably the most common source of sulfite containing foods. Additionally, be sure you have your Epi-pen with you at all times. When you cook at home, prepare your meals with organic foods. Stay away from processed and canned foods. Do not eat dried fruits, and remember that alcoholic beverages probably contain sulfites. And finally, ask your doctor or pharmacist if your vitamins or medications have been preserved with sulfites. If you experience a mild reaction to sulfites, drink lots of water. You may also reduce your symptoms by taking Pepsid AC. Benadryl may give you relief as well. If you believe you are allergic to sulfites, make an appointment with your physician to be tested, and immediately begin to avoid sulfites.

Traveling There Flying is the easiest and possibly only realistic option of travelling directly to the Canaries. There are two airports on Tenerife, Los Rodeos International Airport in the north and Reina Sofia International Airport in the south. If you are already in the Canaries or Spain you can reach the island by boat but it is time consuming and costly. Once o the island it is easy to get around. There are numerous vehicle rental operators, frequent taxis and the bus service is excellent. A Brief History People have been living on Tenerife since ancient times although it wasn’t until years later that the western world became interested in the island. It was eventually conquered by the Spanish in 1495 and thus became part of Europe. Tenerife is still to this day governed by Spain and enjoys an ever growing economy from tourism. Sights and Attraction The best sightseeing on Tenerife comes from the natural scenery despite many amazing manmade attractions. Take a drive through The Anaga mountain range wonderful views and stunning scenery. Toyota trucks
You may have noticed that the truck market has become very hot lately. It seems that you don’t have to have construction type jobs to own a truck these days. In the past foreign trucks struggled with quality issues. Now a days all manufacturers have stepped up in quality and have produced their own profitable truck market segment. The Toyota Tundra was previously known as a light-weight duty truck, but since 2007, the Tundra has upped the heavy-duty competitive bar. Toyota has also started an aggressive branding of their tundra line to compete more aggressively with American car manufacturers. By keeping the brand in front of the customer you slowly begin to program potential buyers into the fact that there is a better truck out there, and you don’t always have to buy American to get the best product. There newest commercials show the trucks being used by hard working laboring men in various jobs. This promotes some pride in the job and shows that it is ok to have a foreign truck doing an American job. This not only helps the bottom line for sales but also spurs on the transition from the industrial age to that of a global economy. If you’re looking to buy a truck that is affordable and reliable, then Toyota might be the dealer to call on. The Toyota Tundra is well known for it’s heavy duty utility features and is appealing to many middle class families. Many people who work in the construction field look to buying a Toyota truck because of its quality. Heavy duty features are also promoted in television commercials which help you realize the quality design built into the truck. In the past foreign trucks did not always mean quality, just a lower price. They never really had a good reputation. The Tundra also has 4 wheel drive, meaning that all wheels roll, verses the 2 wheel drive, where the two back tires push the front. You can buy a Tundra with different engines, so depending on how much torque you are looking for and how much heavy duty work you do, you will need to decide if you want a 4.7L V 8; 5.7L V8; or a 4.0L V 6. The lower the liters you get, the less oil you will have to worry about and the less gas it’ll burn. So if you do construction work and are looking for something that can survive toting around heavy tools, then you may only need a 4 liter. But if you are really into the construction field and are moving around large chunks of wood, heavy machinery and such, you may want to look at the 4.7L engine. Besides the Toyota Tundra, there is the option of buying a Toyota Tacoma. This is truly a light-weight duty truck. There have been some changes to the Tacoma over the past few years and is now more spacious and comfortable to be in. The Toyota Tacoma pickup truck has 4 doors and a long crew cab. There are two choices of engines, the 4,0L V 6 or the 2.7L Inline 4. It can also tow up to 6,500 pounds. Toyota manufacturers are known for producing quality vehicles and many people in the US love and purchase these Japanese owned vehicles. They are reliable and huge contender for Ford, Dodge and General Motors. If you’ve been thinking about getting a Toyota Tundra or Tacoma, you might be making a really good decision.
Finding a good boat repair shop
Sooner or later you will find it necessary to enlist the help of a good boat repair shop if you are a boat owner. There are many reasons that you might need to have your boat worked on. Most of the time it’s just simply problems caused by everyday wear and tear but it could be due to some type of damage occurring to the body of the boat also. Sometimes you may encounter engine trouble or you may have an electrical problem that needs to be addressed. If you are in need of some type of boat repair then you should do some research and choose the shop you use carefully. It is important to make sure that you get the best service possible for the best price available. To do this you will need to do your homework and look into you local boat shops before deciding on where to have your boat repaired. What to Look For In a Boat Repair Shop Before you choose a boat repair shop check to see what type of reputation they have. You don’t want to trust your investment to just anyone. Ask friends or other people you know who own a boat about the shop they use. Find out how long they have been in business and what other people have to say about their work. Be sure to ask them how long they will need to repair your boat. You don’t want to take your boat in for a simple repair and end up missing half the boating season. You also want to make sure that they have the proper equipment and parts needed to do the repairs at hand. If the company you choose has to get someone else to do part of the work, then it will end up costing you more than it should. This leads you to the question of price. Be sure to ask the price on parts and labor before taking your boat in for repairs. You want a company that can give you a good price but also one that will do the work that is needed correctly. Prevention Is the Key Prevention is the key to help you avoid having many of the problems with your boat. However, many people still need a boat repair shop to take care of the maintenance. So, then how do you know that they are really taking the best care of your boat possible? It is important to know you can trust the business that is doing the repairs on your boat. If you are not confident that the shop you are considering using is a legitimate one, don’t use it! Otherwise, not only will you waste a lot of money but it can put you in a bad and even dangerous position if something that you thought was fixed ends up not being repaired correctly. Choosing a good repair shop will make a big difference in your boating experiences.
There s no mystery in the ip address
The Computer is a very complicated device we use for our every day comfort and the importance of some of its numerical aspects is sometimes neglected. For example: a different number is given to each computer when its user goes online or when it is part of a network. This number is the IP address and knowing about it is like knowing where you live… What’s my IP and what do its numbers stand for? IP stands for Internet Protocol and the address is formed from 4 numbers separated by periods. The IP address format is a 32 bit numeric one and each number can be from 0 to 255. The IP address consists of two parts: first one represent the network number and it is similar for more than one user (like the number of a street) and second represents the host name which is different for each user (like the house number). To increase the number of available IP addresses within big networks with a lot of users or small networks with few hosts, the address is divided into 4 classes (A, B, C, and D) Having an IP address it’s like having a last name in a network. To identify a computer in a network (LAN-local area network, WAN-wide area network or on the Internet) it has to have an IP address. This number is similar to a phone number or to a zip code. It is unique and without it the device or computer can not be used in a network area. Within an isolated network the computers can be assigned different random IP addresses, but if a private network needs to be connected to the Internet the IP has to be registered so that its uniqueness is verified. Where do I find my IP address? Connect to a site that recognizes your IP address and let you see it also. You can visit this site for example: iprelated. These IP Lookup sites are very easy to use and very useful for others. An IP address can offer a lot information about the person who logs in on the Internet and engages in a certain activity. This is how illegal activity is sometimes detected and violations are reported. The IP address says less about the user if it is a dynamic one because it changes every time the user logs in. Another interesting aspect is that some people who have the information from your IP address are interested in taking you computer over and using its resources. This is not impossible! They can use software that enables them to do this so it is better to hide your IP when you are online. Who gives me my IP address? The IP address can be static or dynamic, meaning it can be the same every time you are online or it can change. The IP address is provided by a server through a service called DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) Although things can get pretty complicated when explaining numbers and their significance, this is just a small and easy to understand introduction about the IP address that does not involve technical terms. The importance of these details is very high because starting from these brief explanations one can truly comprehend the necessity and implications of the IP address and of virtual geo location.
Explode your sales with good communication
These are simple and effective methods to increase your sales. You may think that you know what your customer wants, but do you really? Instead of assuming that you know, why not listen to the customer and ask questions to find out what it is that they REALLY want. 1. Give your customers benefits, not features. Your customers don't want to know the ins and outs immediately of your products, they want to know how it benefits them! Save the details of the product for a secondary page that's NOT on your home page. You can give some main selling points, but keep the minor details off the home page and just list benefits. For example, let's say you've got a strategy to get your clients out of debt. Don't tell them step-by-step how it works on the front page, be vague and leave the small print for another page. Instead tell them how they can imagine a life with riches and being debt free! That's a benefit, not a feature! 2. Keep in communication with potential buyers. I read somewhere that it takes at least 7 views of your products to get interested parties to buy them. They're obviously interested if they've gotten to your site and requested information, why not keep them informed about your news and updates to the site? You just may have a future customer. It's also a good practice to use a "bookmark this page" and "tell a friend about this page" tool so you can get potential buyers for the future. Even if they're immediately not buying it doesn't mean they won't be back! 3. Encourage your site visitors to ask questions. Some people may think they're bothering you or wasting your time to ask you a question. Extend your open arms to each and every surfer that comes into your site and encourage them to ask about your site! However if you see the same question coming up over and over again, it will benefit you and the client both if you create a "Frequently Asked Questions" page. People usually want immediate answers to their questions and it saves you the tedious same responses over and over again. 4. Make the buying experience easier. Don't ask for information that you don't need. Instead, ask for the bare minimum information from the customer so they can "get in, and get out". And then later on, you can send them a quick thank you note and a follow up to see how they liked your website. Don't make your customer jump through hoops to buy your products. They'll only get frustrated and put it off for later - and later may never come! By keeping these lines of communication open with your site visitors and potential customers, you'll find you gain more trust and credibility with them and in turn, more sales!

The muir lock monster released
In our age of rapid industrial development and expansion there is an urgent need for environmental protection to reduce, control and prevent pollution, especially oil related pollution and spills. If we don't take proper measurements against contaminating our environment pollution damage to human health will soon be intolerable and threats to ecosystems will continue to grow. All of us share both the responsibility for creating the problem of oil and other chemical spills and the responsibility for finding ways to solve the problem. One solution is the patented Muir Lock Monster Technology by Petro Barrier Systems. It is a proven, proprietary containment system that provides worry-free, economical protection for drains, sumps and storm water drains. One of the exceptional features of its products is that they serve a dual function. They are capable of both filtering out small amounts of oil and completely stopping the flow of oil into the water system in case of a major spill. PBS' innovative technology incorporates a unique filter material that permits the flow of water, but traps any oil contaminants that may be present. Therefore if the water entering the product is only slightly contaminated, the Muir Lock Monster lies dormant, and the filtering section removes the oil, while allowing the water to continue to flow freely. However, in the case of a large oil spill, the Muir Lock Monster is awakened! The oil immediately begins to chemically react with the active absorbent material, which rapidly congeals upon contact with the oil, effectively "locking" the device. A solid barrier is created, which prevents any oil from entering the water system. This system of containment allows for easy clean up or recovery of the spilled oil. The Storm Drain Barrier is the recommended product for the protection of drains in case of major oil spills. If a spill produces more than the normal sheen, or if there are trace amounts of oil present in the water exiting into the storm drain, it will create a barrier which will stop the hydrocarbons from flowing any further. For the standard storm drain, the barrier comprises of four types of barriers: - Three of these barriers are designed for filtering and plugging the water. - The remaining is a by-pass that instantly plugs the barrier when activated by the three filtering barriers becoming blocked. If the plugging is caused by oil, the by-pass barrier will stop any further flow of liquids. However, if grit and silt or other non-hydrocarbon material causes the block, the by-pass barrier will allow water to continue to flow freely. Examples of non-point sources of storm drain pollution include the following: - Sediments from construction, forestry operations and agricultural lands; - Bacteria and microorganisms from failing septic systems and pet wastes; - Nutrients and pesticides from agricultural areas, golf courses, athletic fields and residential yards; - Oil, grease, antifreeze and metals washed from roads, parking lots and driveways; - Toxic chemicals and cleaners that were not disposed properly; - Litter thrown onto streets, sidewalks and beaches, or directly into the water by individuals. There is a range of standard products by Petro Barrier Systems designed to fit into standard floor drains and storm water boxes. And in case of customers with specialized needs when it comes to their containment requirements PBS is also able to custom manufacture and tailor its products to meet their particular needs. To conclude, oil may provide the ingredients for thousands of products we use every day, but it carries with it some potential problems. That's why prevention becomes more and more important. We have to take appropriate steps to protect our nature from oil's harmful effects.
Tips in getting your horse to trust you
It is far more enjoyable to ride a horse that trusts you rather than one who does not. But getting a horse to trust you is a difficult task, especially if the horse has a history of past abuse. It is indeed possible to befriend a horse who is shy and reticent but does not have a history of past abuse. Make sure that you approach the horse from the left. And always remember to show him what you have in your hands – even if it is a hoof pick, meant to be used on him. The second thing to remember is always to wear tight clothes. Loose clothing flaps in the breeze and may unnerve you horse. And once you have scared him, it is difficult to make him believe you. Its hardly comfortable both for the owner as well as the horse, if there is an element of fear and mistrust between the two of you. To put it simply you should not make the horse do any activity, which he does not feel confident to do. The horse has to have full confidence on you, when you ask him to jump or trot down an unfamiliar path. If you ask him to take a jump and he fails to do so, he will lose the confidence he has in you instantly. He will be frightened to take any command from you the next time. So, instead try and build his confidence in you slowly and gradually. Practice with him, going down a wide and easy road or jumping over easy hurdles. This way he develops trust in you. Never make him do anything which is beyond his capabilities. Gaining trust from a horse which has been previously abused, is nearly impossible. However with a lot of patience, you may evoke some confidence at the end. Taking to your horse if a soft, soothing voice helps. Do this before you ask him to do any task. Never make yourself overbearing to your horse, demanding to get his attention. And never try to ride him before you get his trust. Relieve him of any fright or mistrust first. When he is used to your presence as well as your voice, approach him then. Remember always that a horse who is scared is very difficult to manage, so never force anything on him. On the contrary, offer him some food that he enjoys. Soon after he has relished something given by you a few times, gently stroke his muzzle to befriend him further. You know you have reached some understanding with your horse, if you find that your horse is letting you stroke him. You must however never ride an abused horse, without the help of a horse trainer, who has had some experience with abused horses. These horses are calm when you are on the ground but starts panicking when you are trying to ride them.

Eating and gaining weight how to control the urge to splurge
I confess: I'm completely addicted to Pringles. My determination weakens every time I think about munching into one, hearing the crunch, and getting that first taste of its yummy flavor. Pure heaven. Although you don't flip over chips, probably there's another food that lures you into the refrigerator or the pantry cabinet. According to one study, 97% of women (compared to 68% of men) experience cravings on food. How do you control these urges that drag you in an intoxicated shape away from your diet plan and down into the swirling vortex of pleasure? I researched on the topic to give you expert advice on how to enjoy that art called eating without turning in into a feeding frenzy. Read on - and never again feel guilty about eating a chocolate chip cookie. Take Charge of Your Eating Habits. Try to control the number of food cravings you experience. It appears to be impossible for humans like us, but if you psyche yourself and develop fewer cravings, then slowly you'll submit to fewer cravings. According to one study of nearly 500 women, researchers found that women who received a daily 1, 200 milligram calcium supplement reduced their number of premenstrual food cravings by 54%. To reach the same result by getting the needed calcium intake from food, rely on skim milk and yogurt. Sounds a bit difficult for all lactose intolerant? Try some calcium-fortified foods or juices like cheese and calcium-filled orange juices. If you don't feel you can get sufficient calcium from food, make up the difference using a supplement of calcium carbonate or calcium citrate. How about something relaxing? When you're anxious, the body produces more of the hormone cortisol, which may increase the amount of carbohydrates you want to eat. Sweets or carbohydrates temporarily increase our levels of serotonin, making us feel calm and relaxed. Thus, one way of helping curb your sweet tooth, rent some videos, text your funniest friends, or schedule a spa weekend. Why not have a bit of chocolate once in a while? When you begin including small amounts of these forbidden foods into your diet, a funny thing happens: You don't crave them anymore. Distinguish specific cravings from hunger. Suppose you drive by a fast food outlet and all of a sudden, you develop a deep craving for French fries. Rather than rushing down the drive thru section, reassess your urge. Turn on your favorite music and switch your attention away from the fries idea. Suppose, on the other hand, you feel the need to satisfy not the urge but your hunger, select an apple pie or salad as a substitute. Cut Hundreds of Calories. Sure you can cut on hundreds of calories on what you eat every day! How? By making the appropriate choices on replacing high-calorie to low-calorie foods, such as cheese, creams, whole milk, butter, etc. Here are easy tricks to keep you cooking and eating minus the calories. • When cooking, use nonstick pan to eliminate the use of butter and/or oil. • Remove the fat from the meat. • Remove the skin of chicken before serving. • Use butter-flavored seasoning on vegetables instead of sprinkling butter. • For casseroles, desserts and sauces, use evaporated skim milk (12 cal./tbsp.) instead of heavy cream (51 cal./tbsp.) • Cook stews and other casseroles ahead of time. Refrigerate. Remove congealed fat before serving. • Choose real orange (71 cal.) over an orange juice (90 cal./6 oz). • For snacks, low-calorie fruits (cucumbers, asparagus, carrots, apples, pickles) are good replacements for crackers and breads. • Use bottled chocolate extract for milk shakes instead of sweetened cocoa. • Use two egg whites (34 cal.) for cakes instead of one egg (82 cal.). • Choose diet margarine (50 cal.) instead of the regular margarine (100 cal.). • Choose cereals with the least calories then add fresh fruits to be more nutritious. • In parties, good substitutes for snacks are carrot strips, pickle slices, and raw mushroom caps. • Drip away fats by cooking hamburgers on the rack. • Avoid chips with dips. Staying in healthy shape depends on the right attitude. So how strong is your will power to control the urge?
A creative journey using a magazine to heighten creativity and learning
Read essays, articles, or books on creativity and you will more than once you will read that you can heighten your creativity and create new ideas by reading magazines that you wouldn’t typically read. The suggestion is to go to your local newsstand and pick up magazines you wouldn’t ever read and read them for ideas, connections and trends. This is an often repeated example of using outside stimulus as a way to jumpstart our creativity. I have read this suggestion many times. I’ve suggested it myself. I’ve even done it a few times. But I’ve never seen anyone show someone an example of doing it. Until now. Earlier this week I found the April edition of Wired Magazine in my briefcase as I traveled. I had picked it up a couple of weeks before in an airport because I was drawn to the cover, which suggested that the main focus of the issue was “The New World of Games.” While I am not a current subscriber to Wired Magazine (used to be) and you might not be either, I think you will find both the process and my results enlightening and fun. My Process Reading a magazine for creative insights is pretty easy. Get a magazine, a highlighter, and perhaps some paper or your Journal. Then begin reading. Don’t skim or read only the things that are immediately or naturally interesting to you. Read everything. Read the articles AND the ads. And while you are reading, be asking yourself things like… What does this remind me of? How does this relate to my situation, problem or challenge? What did they do that I can do? How could I use this? How can I learn from the experiences or suggestions in the article (or ad)? These certainly aren’t the only questions you can ask, but they are enough to get you started. You can go into this creative journey with a very specific challenge or problem in mind, or you can just do it to see what serendipitous ideas you generate – either way is fine! In this case, my journey was a random one – I wasn’t thinking about a specific issue or challenge, I was just reading to see what I might find. How to Read the Rest of This Article The rest of this article will provide some of my ideas and what spurred them. I encourage you to read on observing my process and seeing what ideas or insights you get from my insights. In other words, I encourage you to use the process I just described on the rest of this article! You may also decide to go to the library and get the April 2006 Wired Magazine to see all of what I am describing. My Journey … page 26 – a side bar asks the question, “Is a half hour show too long for today’s viewers?” Three people answer with different perspectives. My first reaction is that this is an interesting question…. And my second was that the answers given basically come down to the quality of the story. If a good story is told, people will watch (hey, we sat through 3 + hours for Titanic!) So while this is an interesting question, it is a bit backwards. The relevant question is, how good the story? This relates to my work in terms of training – how long do people want to learn at one sitting, etc. Do I think that times are changing? Sure I do. But people are still people. They will worry less about time is they are engaged. In the end – whether through story or great interaction in a learning situation, the right question is how can we engage people, not how long is the experience. … page 29 – Lexus presents a four page advertisement for a PBS series with Charlie Rose. It contains very interesting excerpts from two shows in the series. This content was so compelling to be almost worth the price of the magazine itself – far better than many articles I have read in the past. It reminds me that advertising can be relevant and that when we educate and inform others in a valuable way, we might do a better job of marketing, persuading, or selling, than by trying to market, persuade or sell. … page 56 – talks about a feature film based on a Beastie Boys concert. This movie was created from footage recorded by 50 fans from cameras the band gave them for the length of the concert to film their entire experience. Over 100 hours of raw amateur footage was edited together for this movie. Though I don’t own a Beastie Boys album and haven’t been to their one of their concerts, I am completely captivated by this idea! It appeals to me because the band got this idea and implemented it (the collection of the footage) in 3 days – from conception to footage. 3 Days. This has been challenging my thoughts about how long it takes me to implement or being willing to implement something . . . fast. It also speaks to the power of getting your Customers involved in the experience of your product or service. This two thirds of a page has had me thinking a lot in the last few days. … page 66 the Play section of the magazine shows pictures and brief descriptions of new products. One on this page is called the Storm Tracker (This is an umbrella that has a bulb at the end of the handle that collects forecast information from local forecasts (wirelessly) and tells you if you need to carry it, based on how much it blinks. The more it blinks, (up to 100 times per minute) the more likely rain will fall. While I don’t see many people paying $99 for this, I was intrigued by the use of a small “non computer” device to give us data that we might be able to use. While I don’t design products like this, I am fascinated by how these types of technologies might be able to aid, impact or influence performance and learning in the future. The Storm Tracker has opened my eyes to be watching and thinking about this question. These examples get me through less that half of the magazine, and I didn’t even share all of my insights from the first 66 pages! Rather than continue in this article, I encourage you to read more on my blog, as I will be sharing more of these snippets there. I hope that riding along on my journey has been interesting, and I hope that you got an insight or two through my examples above. More than that though, I hope that I have convinced you to pick up a magazine you’ve never read before, and try this process for yourself. If you do, I promise you will learn something, and you may solve a vexing problem or identify an amazing opportunity along the way.
Avian flu do you want the good news or the bad news
Avian Flu: The bad news first Well, it's flu season again. Only this time, we hear everyone talking about avian flu…the Super flu which is expected to wreck havoc across our land in the not so distant months. So what is avian flu? Avian flu is bird flu. Yes, you read that right, "Avian flu is bird flu." And why might that be such bad news? If you pursue the news much, you will read that the deadliest disease in history is widely regarded as the Spanish Flu epidemic which killed 40 million people in just months. Scientists now believe the epidemic was an avian flu pandemic. In other words, the virus came from birds - it is believed - and a virus similar to this one - called the "H5N1" (a form of avian flu virus). Its origins? Most scientists agree it originated in Asia, as this one. Flu comes every season. It comes in one of two forms, Type A or Type B influenza. Type A is the more potent of these kinds of flu, and avian flu is Type A. These strains kill. The current avian flu bug is infecting and spreading throughout the poultry industry in Asia. Why so often in Asia? Simply put…and here is a key to understanding how to deal with avian flu - poultry farms are absolutely filthy. The stench from such farms, especially those throughout Asia, can be detected a mile away. Those farms are packed with animals which are weak with compromised, weakened, immune systems. Let these two phrases sink in together: avian flu and weakened immune systems. Whether we are dealing with the aftermath of the horrible conditions and weakened immune systems of millions who survived World War I or the horrible conditions of Asian and European poultry farms and their millions of animals with weakened immune systems, the key to this potential pandemic is "weakened immune systems and avian flu". Because of the rapid spread and highly dangerous nature of the avian flu to birds, millions of flocks have been destroyed throughout the afflicted countries. However, that is simply not working because migratory birds are carrying the avian flu to distant lands, thus spreading its contagion. Interestingly, the migratory birds are not dying like the chickens. Why? Because their immune systems are much stronger, we are told by scientists. Let that one sink in too: avian flu is not killing those animals so readily which have strong immune systems. Hum…avian flu and immune systems…Could be we have something here. Incidentally, there have been only about a hundred deaths from avian flu worldwide. It is almost impossible for avian flu to make the transition from bird to human easily. Avian Flu: Now for the really bad news Of course, as soon as there is the slightest danger - avian flu or otherwise - our government jumps into high gear to infect every one of us, if possible, with its antiviral drug program against the slightest hint of avian flu. To date, everyone of the influenza drugs have proven worthless…or worse, against avian flu or any other kind of flu. Note this statement from the former Chief Vaccine Control at the Federal Food and Drug Administration: There is no evidence that any influenza vaccine thus far developed is effective in preventing or mitigating any attack of influenza. The producers of these vaccines know that they are worthless, but they go on selling them anyway. --Dr. J. Anthony Morris I wonder if this will apply to the alleged avian flu "antidote". Note: The last few decades have seen a dramatic shift in fatalities from seasonal flu (some of which are avian flu). Researchers now know the increase in the population does NOT account for the doubling of the seasonal average death toll from flu (avian flu or otherwise). Less than 20,000 were dying per year for decades. But, since the advent of the flu shot, averages of over 40,000 people per year have been dying. Why? One suggestion is a combination of two factors: the continued impairment of the immune system of the average American as witnessed by the multitude of epidemic diseases among us (not present in appreciable amounts in previous decades). The second factor follows below… (like the second Horseman of the Apocalypse). Let's see…one thing we do know about flu vaccines. They are not proven to work… No, two things we know…Yes, yes. They can kill. Just as surely as the avian flu can kill. Many authorities believe the flu shot actually weakens the immune system…ah, there it is again…the immune system weakened. Why is that? Let's see. The ingredients in the flu vaccine (remember this when dealing with the avian flu) include: " Formaldehyde, you know…embalming fluid known to cause cancer. " Aluminum, the very metal related to Alzheimer's disease, cancers of numerous types and traumatic seizures. " Carbolic Acid: a terribly caustic poison. " Ethylene Glycol: You will definitely need this fluid this winter, but please only use it as anti-freeze for your car, as it was designed to be used originally. " Mercury: This is present in the vaccine ingredient called thimerosol. This is a known medical crippler and killer. It kills brain cells and immune cells and is linked to childhood brain and nervous diseases because of its use in VACCINES. " Vaccines for use in avian flu are grown on virus strains developed from pus-laden animal tissue mixed with the above mentioned deadly chemicals. (Bulleted items: Special Report, "Bird Flu, H5N1", Dr. Richard Schulze, November 2005, p. 12. Great "avian flu" resource.) Is it any wonder the drug companies involved sought to be legally protected from law suits by those who might use these drugs against avian flu? Forgive my skepticism, but I have seen from the inside of the medical/drug establishment, the fanatical zeal to make money as a first priority… Been there, opposed that. Avian flu treatment will not be any different. Don't count on the Hippocratic Oath to protect you from avian flu. There is big money in these drugs. Billions. And it is always suspicious when a drug company seeks lawsuit immunity (hum, appropriate wording here) BEFORE THE FACT (before its use against avian flu!) Avian Flu: Now for the good news (finally). Avian flu was not in view when this following statement was made. However, read it carefully with avian flu in mind. In Congressional testimony concerning the potential of bio-terrorism attack upon the United States, Dr. H. Reginald McDaniel stated, In instances of unusual, epidemic, or virulent infectious agent exposure, glyconutrient supplementation has been found effective for enhancing general immune functions and defense. When supplied at higher levels than available in nature, sugars needed for cellular synthesis can take innate defense systems to a much higher level that are effective against infectious agents. In other words, if we were attacked by an enemy with bio weapons - such as avian flu - we could find protection with glyconutrition. This is a powerful, non-prescriptive antidote possibility against avian flu. Glyconutrition enhances the immune system's natural defenses so powerfully that cancers, flu, and other UNDER ACTIVE IMMUNE DISORDERS can be stopped. The evidence is already in place. There is no guesswork here. Avian flu is flu, Type A, precisely the kind of flu glyconutrition is designed to offset. Glyconutrition is effective - presumably against avian flu too - and has no side effects. It is a food substance, proven to be vital for human survival. There are no less than four Nobel Prizes to substantiate the presence and human need for glyconutrition. There is an abundance of evidence showing its effectiveness against all kinds of disease, including flu. It doesn't attack the flu directly. It strengthens the immune defenses - killer T cells and others - and they kill the tumors, flu, herpes simplex, shingles, strep, TB, bacterial infections, cancers, parasitic diseases… Quite a list of killers thus killed. So… Guess what I am going to take to protect my family this year against avian flu…if it develops?
Horses secretariat the legacy
In this article we're going to review the life and career of one of the greatest horses in horse racing history, Secretariat. If you were around in the early 70s, regardless of whether you were into horse racing or not, you knew who Secretariat was. His name was plastered all over every newspaper in the world. There had never been a horse like him before and will probably never be another one like him again. In June of 1973 he came to the Belmont Stakes with the chance to become the first triple crown winner in 25 years. Not only was he on the front page of every newspaper, but he was also on the cover of Time, Newsweek, and Sports Illustrated. This is something that had never happened before or since. Writers from all over struggled to explain what it was about this horse that was so incredible. In a book written by Marvin Drager, called "The Most Glorious Crown", the author gathered a number of clips from all round the country with words printed about this magnificent horse. Some of the comments were one of a kind in themselves. For example, Time magazine writer, sports columnist Pete Axthelm, who never saw a horse race in his life said... "Secretariat generates a crackling tension and excitement wherever he goes. Even in the kind of gray weather that shrouds lesser animals in anonymity, Secretariat's muscular build identifies him immediately; his glowing reddish coat is a banner of health and rippling power. Magnificent enough at rest ... when he accelerates ... he produces a breathtaking explosion that leaves novices and hardened horsemen alike convinced that, for one of those moments that seldom occur in any sport, they have witnessed genuine greatness." But the glowing words didn't end there. A columnist for the New York Post by the name of Larry Merchant, who went on to become known as the HBO boxing analyst with the sharp tongue, said... "Secretariat is the kind of Big Horse that makes grown men weep, even when they are flint-hearted bettors, even when he goes off at 1-10. He is the apparently unflawed hunk of beauty and beast they search for doggedly in the racing charts every day, and never seemed to find. His supporters rhapsodize over him as though he is a four-legged Nureyev, extolling virtues of his musculature, his grace, his urine specimens. If he were to lose the Belmont the country may turn sullen and mutinous." The media explosion over this horse was simply unprecedented. Certainly, horse racing had never seen anything like it before. Even though nothing has quite come close to the furore over this horse, the media did finally understand and recognize when something of this nature was to be looked out for. That's why in 2003, when Funny Cide was about to make a bid for triple crown glory, the media came out in droves. In no way are the stories of Secretariat and Funny Cide alike. One was royalty and one was just an everyday horse. But that's what makes headlines, when an everyday horse can actually challenge royalty. It certainly does make for great theater.
Designing your ecommerce website
With an increase in consumers using the internet to shop and perform business transactions, ecommerce has become the future of the online community. It is estimated that shoppers are spending billions of dollars online each year, with a few stores even outselling their offline parallels. Benefitting completely from the ecommerce boom can be achievable. To keep consumers coming back, you need to create a unique ecommerce site, one that reaches beyond all levels of excellence. When designing your ecommerce website, you should have a welcome or introduction on your home page. This statement should establish the advantages of your site, and assure those visiting that they should be comfortable doing business with you. State your purpose, express your beliefs, and let the consumer know why business done at your ecommmerce outlet is always secure. A quality website has smooth navigation. Categories to scan through and obvious search boxes on the site are a must. Design a simple site with large, easy to read fonts and images that will load quickly. Be sure to have a page with specific questions regarding some of your common business policies such as shipping and returns. You may also want to have a link on your home page that leads visitors to a privacy policy. This policy will ensure customers that you will never supply a third party with information they have entrusted with you. It is nearly essential for all ecommerce shops to display this declaration somewhere on their site. Just as when shopping offline, customers want checkout to be as fast and easy as possible when visiting your online store. If your online store is equipped with a secure server, make your customers aware. This will put them at ease and keep them coming back. Your checkout or Тshopping cartУ needs to be just one click away so the customer can be in and out in a minimal amount of steps. In this day and age, it is advisable to offer a variety of payment selections such as PayPal and other online payment sources, credit and debit cards, online checks, and money orders. Include a contact telephone number for customer support so the customer has assurance that they will have assistance if there is a problem with the order. Organize a special section of your ecommerce website dedicated completely to special discounts and current sales. If you have an extraordinary amount of sales items, create a separate webpage devoted to the ones that are most preferred, and have another page with a complete listing of all discounts. During the holiday season, have a certain portion of our website set aside for customers to purchase gift certificates. Producing a profitable, reputable ecommerce website can be a simple task with a well constructed site plan, some time and patience. Taking full advantage of the ecommerce phenomenon, you can succeed in your business marketing dream.
When dog training really matters
Dogs can be very sociable. In fact, they sometimes get too sociable and get aggressive. That is why it is important to train the dogs to control their behavior. Moreover, dog trainings are important to avoid dog biting incidents. Statistics show that 77% of dog biting cases are mostly those that are within the family. Hence, with dog training, bad habits are removed and dogs have better control with their feelings and behavior towards environmental and social variables. However, implementing dog training is not that easy. Certain things must be employed to have positive results. The thing needed in dog training is what most experts define as “positive reinforcement.” This refers to the way people reward their dogs with treats, praises, or both whenever their dogs show positive behavior. Through positive reinforcements, dogs will be able to comprehend that treats and praises will come whenever he shows good behavior. For example, when the owner gives his dog some treats for obediently obeying his commands, the dog will think that obeying commands when told equals treats. But this does not necessarily mean that when the dog did not obey the owner’s commands, punishment is needed as counter-reinforcement. This should not be the case because punishments will only make the matter worst. What will happen is that the dog will be confused and it will begin to doubt your feelings. The next thing that humans must remember when training their dogs is that people should avoid training their dogs into bad habit. Actually, many people are not aware they are doing this but there are instances wherein the people’s reaction towards some behavior of the dogs will inadvertently train the dog in a bad way. For example, when dogs bark, it is common especially when they do that because they see something strange or unfamiliar things. But, when dogs continue to bark, even if it includes a familiar person, that becomes a problem. In this case, most people have the inclination to yell and tell their dogs to shut up. This particular reaction of dog owners will confuse their dogs and will only make them understand that the reason why their owners are yelling is because they are also enjoying the shouting scene and that they are “barking” along with their dogs. The key point here is to avoid paying attention to the dog. In time, he will stop. It’s when the owners should reward their dogs. Boiled down, dog training is all about positive reinforcements. And, as they say, positive reinforcements reap positive results.
Is there a perfect wealth formula to marketing online
There are literally thousands of hopeful internet entrepreneurs striving to make a living online. Some want to make more money, or to have more freedom to use their skills at home rather than at a typical job. Others would like to find a perfect wealth formula to earn some extra cash to support their family. Of course this would be the ideal scenario for most people, working from home, adjusting your work hours to fit in with your pleasures. Spending more time with your loved ones, going off for a game of golf, an hour or two fishing etc. What then is the best mechanism to achieve this? Internet marketing which is probably the most popular method to make a living today; while not easy, is none the less a lucrative endeavour. You may have seen ads promoting services or products by internet marketers who boast earnings well into the millions. These are normally direct sales not mlm programs. These types of programs are many and varied and one should be super careful in doing their due diligence. It is very important to check that there is a company name and contact details on the front page, if there is none walk away. Some of these will sign you up and then you are on your own, for instance the author of this article joined a program this year, lured by the inviting sales page then signed up paid and then excitedly tried to contact his sponsor without success. Then two days later he received a barrage of emails from the same sponsor trying to get him to sign-up for two other programs! All attempts to contact this women proved fruitless. Lucky for the author he was able to get a refund within 48 hrs. MLM programs take a lot longer to start receiving an income and depend on your downline buying some products and sponsoring another person into their business. Then they duplicate the same. Theoretically it sounds great if you find enthusiastic members who will go out and promote but if your prospect is too lazy or has a problem with contacting people then your business will suffer. The author is talking from experience here having sponsored more than 20 people into a program with very good products, the fuel additive reduced petrol consumption by up to 20% and the transmission product made the transmission run at at least 10% cooler. At his peak the author was selling more than $5000 a month in product sales. However his downline could not duplicate his efforts despite him making numerous three way calls and personal presentations. His signups did have a few sign ups but a turmoil amongst the board of directors eventually caused the company to collapse destroying a huge opportunity. A good MLM program is one that has a good company behind it with a proven track record of stability on it's own performance not one that is using a parent company. They should have tangible consumerable products with a constant demand for these products, so that one can sell them with confidence. Some other sites set up with Clickbank, Amazon, and eBay products espousing the great money you can make by giving away free sites, the only trouble is they're not exactly free because some have a monthly subscription fee. Others are one and two-up programs where one has to pass up their first two sales to their sponsor. Often getting the first two sales is the hardest part! A program that is worth looking at should be an actual education on how to market your business or businesses online, with easy to follow step by step videos that anyone can watch and apply the techniques. The payment system should be fool proof providing credit card and Paypal features that ensure one gets paid instantly. As far as the constant rumor that PayPal will freeze one's account goes the author has had a premier account for at least 5 years and never had a problem with Pay Pal. All enquires to their support desk have been answered within 24 hrs politely and to the point one could not ask for better service. So there you are, you will surely find a good company buried in amongst the maze but do your research and ask questions, to find out who runs the company just go to whois and get their details. Best of luck!

It may be amazing to current computer users who are used to small compact LCD monitors. Not only were initial computer monitors large and cumbersome but that the early monitors used by computer enthusiasts were Cathode Ray Monitors that were not color, Initial vintage monitors were monochrome – one color only not the brilliant color displays that we take for granted today. Some of these monochrome monitors were green or orange iridescent. Others were similar to a black and white television that is grey scale. It is taken for granted now by young computer surfers and gamers that television was always “color”, not so. Initially TV broadcasts were in “black and white “. Color TV had been developed but the technology but the widespread use did not arise till the early 1970’s and even later in some areas. The broadcasts were seen as black and white on those sets and color on color sets. Color TVs could receive programs that were in the black and white mode as well. Sort of the backwards compatibility of the day. What then would be the difference between the picture qualities of a television set a monitor has vastly greater resolution than standard TV sets. The TV sets of that time (as opposed to current high end LCD and plasma high definition TVs) were basically 1950’s technology – even the newer color TV sets. . A monitor’s screen display should be stable and of good quality, since the computer user may sit very close to the monitor and spend many hours reading the display. If the images are fuzzy (low resolution) or waver constantly, you would have a throbbing headache and wavering eyes in no time. Monitors have knobs to adjust for clarity. On vintage monochrome monitors these usually include a brightness knob which adjusts the illumination of the entire screen, and a contrast knob which makes the letters lighter or darker in relation to the background screen newer color monitors will have additional adjustments for color. The question will arise – how did the vintage CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) monitors initially handle the color technology which came later and became the accepted standard. A typical color monitor screen worked in much the same way as a standard CRT television. The inside of the picture tube is coated with three different phosphors: red, green and blue. Phosphors are special chemical compounds that glow with characteristic colors when bombarded a stream of electrons. The phosphor gets “excited” and thanks to the additive properties of the color wheel the different colored lights resulting get mixed and that all types of combinations of the three primary colors result. The end result is that virtually any color of the rainbow can be produced. And as for the color white the eyes play a useful trick. When all three colors are mixed together in equal quantities, the eye sees this as “white light”. Finally the sharpness of the CRT color monitor or a TV set’s image is determined by three factors: the monitor’s bandwidth, its dot pitch, and the accuracy of its convergence. Although the bandwidth and dot pitch are important to determine a good monitor, convergence is the real measurement. Indeed we have come a long way from the initial simple vintage monochrome monitors. What we now take for granted with LCD monitors and indeed our high definition TV sets all originated with simple CRT monochrome monitor technology which was merged with the technology and tricks gleaned from the color TV industry. We should all be grateful. We owe much to "Uncle Miltie".
Invest in real estate but where
Where should you invest in real estate? If you know an area well, and have enough experience investing in real estate, you can make money almost anywhere. However, there are always places that are better or worse for real estate investments - places that have a better demand/supply ratio. Use the questions below to find them. Demand Questions 1. Is the population growing fast? Check the US Census figures online, or ask the local government if they have the statistics. Stay away from areas that have little growth. 2. Is job growth decent? Again, ask local authorities or use the census information. You want to see job growth equal to or exceeding population growth. The people have to have money to pay for housing. 3. Decent quality of life? This is subjective, but important. Are there theaters and bookstores? Count coffee shops and cafes. Trendy areas usually have increasing demand for housing. It's also a good indication of a high quality-of-life if people are willing to take lower-paying jobs just to live there. 4. Wealth in the area? It is always a good sign when there is some degree of wealth in a town. Count rich homes. Wealth means everything doesn't die when the economy slows. Supply Questions 1. How much new construction? The census figures can tell you what's happened over the last ten years. Then check with the local authorities to see if the the number of housing units they've issued permits for is more or less than the expected population growth. 2. How many homes for sale? A lower supply of homes for sale means upward pressure on prices. This indirectly drives up rents as well, which makes for better investing. 3. Rent and vacancy levels? Are rents high enough to justify investing? Are vacancies low? When we first came to Tucson, every building had vacancies, and we saw a man holding a sign that read, "Apartment - $250 Per Month." Great place for renters, but not a great place to invest in real estate. 4. Available land that is buildable? Less is better for future appreciation. When the land runs out, the prices start accelerating upwards. Use these questions to compare various towns and cities, and you'll see the differences more clearly. You'll see how housing demand compares to supply in each. Finally, you'll see where it is better to invest in real estate.
The benefits of wind power
We live in an energy conscious world today and more and more people are seeking ways to reduce carbon emissions and help protect the environment. Cutting down on fossil fuels and the use of renewable energy is a key part of protecting our planet. Wind power has emerged as one of the most effective ways of harnessing the Earth's natural resources to produce a clean form of energy that doesn't damage our environment. As oil prices continue to rise and pressure mounts to cut down on carbon emissions, the benefits of wind power and other alternative energy sources are becoming more and more apparent. According to experts, wind power could meet 10 per cent of the world's electricity within 20 years, even if the amount of electricity used doubled. At present, the annual growth rate of wind power is more than 40 per cent and it should soon supply electricity to 100 million people worldwide. Europe is currently the world leader when it comes to wind power with Germany and Spain providing the most electricity through wind power. The United States is third on the list, followed by India and Denmark. Wind power is the fastest growing source of alternative energy in the United States and around the world. Every year, more an more households get their electricity through wind power. However, this cheap and clean source of energy is still only being used to a fraction of its potential. However, this is likely to change in the next few years for a number of reasons. Wind power is clean The chief advantage of wind power is that it is clean. There is no smoke, no fumes, no smog and no dirty air for us to breath. A turbine simply harnesses the energy of the wind and produces electricity without producing any waste whatsoever. Wind power can produce electricity that can be fed directly to homes and factories, replacing the power supplied by major power plants. Today, power plants are among the biggest polluters in the United States. However, a single 1-MW wind turbine can save on 2,000 tons of carbon dioxide in one year. This is the same of planting one square mile of forest. And that is just from one turbine, imagine what one hundred turbines will do to help save our environment. Wind power is cheap Wind is free so wind energy is cheap. In fact, it is the most competitive of all the renewable energy sources when it comes to cost and can easily rival the cost of other more tradition fuels like gas or oil. Wind power is a relatively new technology and at the outset it was quite an expensive source of power. However, developments in the technology means that costs have reduced drastically and are continuing to fall. Meanwhile, the cost of power provide by fossil fuels is going up so wind power is likely to become the cheapest for of electricity in the near future. And once it becomes the cheapest, we can expect to see a significant rise in the number of wind farms in the United States. Wind power is local Wind is everywhere so there is the potential to build wind farms anywhere. Of course, some areas are better than others for harnessing wind power but the ability to have wind power as a local source of energy is a real plus. It can save on miles and miles of cabling, provide jobs and investment in local areas, and generally boost local economies. Wind power also benefits society on a wider level. It makes for a cleaner environment which means healthier people and fewer air pollution-related medical problems. It can also be put in place quickly, cheaply and easily to deliver a reliable source of energy in a relatively short space of time. Wider issues The future of wind power is affected by any number of larger, global environmental and geo-political issues. With world leaders currently developing a new agreement on how the world is going to tackle climate change, a number of major changes can be expected in the world's energy supply. A move to greener, cleaner sources of energy is inevitable. This signals a busy future for wind power. At the moment we have barely scratched the surface of this valuable resource. In the United States, wind power supplies less than 1 per cent of the country's total electricity needs. However, there is the potential to have 60 per cent of electricity supplied by wind power, and the figures are similar on a global scale. So, in the coming years we are likely to see the number of wind farms around the world rocket as more and more countries harness this clean and cheap source of electricity.

Open up wide
Well you're having pain , so let's take a look in there. How ? An Endoscope will locate your problem . Whether you are having problems with your: Stomach Esophagus Duodenum Liver Pancreas Gall Bladder What is an endoscope? This a flexible lighted scope that is inserted through your mouth down your esophagus into your stomach, and duodenum until it reaches the spot where the ducts from your pancreas and gallbladder drain into the duodenum. An ERCP is short for endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatogram. Now you understand the abbreviation. What words to say or pronounce. ERCP contain detect early signs of growths and a sample can be taken for further testing. If you have gallstones present in your bile duct , the doctor may remove the stone with another instrument inserted through the endoscope which is in place. Narrowed bile ducts can be opened by inserting a small tube or a stent through the endoscope and down into the duct. The patient is not to eat or drink for eight hours prior to the procedure. You need to talk to your physician before this procedure about your present medications you are taking. Any concerns you may have need to be addressed to your physician. Patients are under a local anesthesia. The procedure is about 30 minutes to 45 minutes and a 45 minutes to a hour in recovery. This is a very simple procedure. There are risks with this procedure just like any other procedure you may develop: Bleeding from the pancreatic ducts if they are enlarged or from the section from where biopsies were taken. An abnormal heart rhythm Infection in the bile ducts, if gallstones were removed Inflammation of the pancreas A puncture in the esophagus; stomach; bile duct; duodenum or pancreatic duct. If you receive a puncture in any of the above , it will require lengthy surgery. Many older adults with chronic health conditions and heart patients experience a greater chance of developing problems after this procedure . Before having this procedure done , talk to your doctor about any possible risk he may think you could have during or after this procedure. Before the endoscope equipment was available, many doctors would do exploratory surgery , hoping to find the cause and repair it. Today, many procedures can be done with the endoscope and patients recover faster and return to work and normal life. Take a preventive measure and keep check on your inner organs. This could save your life.
Emergency plans are important for your home and business
Would you like to find out what those-in-the-know have to say about emergency plans? The information in the article below comes straight from well-informed experts with special knowledge about emergency plans. There are very few people in the world or the United States who are not vulnerable in their homes or businesses to one type of disaster or another. Disaster strikes generally when least expected and not at all prepared for and can have devastating consequences in the toll of human lives, property damage, and the ruin of businesses. Prepare a disaster plan for your home and business in order to maintain as much control of things in this situation as possible. Home or business invasions should first focus on everyone getting out of the house. Whether or not the invader is in the house when this is discovered or not the first order of business needs to be to insure the safety of everyone in the home or business. For both homes and businesses it is best to establish a rendezvous point for this specific situation. Make sure every family member or employee knows where he or she should meet everyone else in the case of a break in. For families with small children it should be something as simple as a neighbor's house for businesses it can be wherever you feel there is a large enough space to accommodate everyone that will need to meet. Businesses should also have a phone call protocol established of those who should be able to call those who do not need to be present initially in order to avoid overwhelming the situation and location with too many people asking questions and wanting answers all at once. Hopefully the information presented so far has been applicable. You might also want to consider the following: For fires and weather related disasters home and businesses need to have an emergency plan in place (this should be different in hurricane regions according to the long range predictions and uncertainty of not only the routes of hurricanes but the amount of damage that can lie in their wake). If emergencies such as fires or tornadoes occur during regular office hours every employee should know where to go for protection and/or escape. The same holds true for homes. Families with small children should practice disaster drills at various times during the night and day in order to make sure children know innately what to do in case of emergency and do not panic and forget when and if the crucial time should ever prevent itself. Knowledge saves lives in situations such as this and having a clearly defined and understood avenue for escape can be critical in a situation such as this. More than giving workers and family members a clearly defined route to take when disaster strikes having a designated and specific plan for emergencies also gives them a sense of purpose that will often override the traditional sense of panic. This is a good plan for families and work places across the country to practice. It was mentioned above that hurricane plans are slightly different and this is true. Hurricanes present a fairly unique dilemma as we have discovered in recent years because they can literally devastate entire regions with the totality of their destruction. In these instances, information is needed to get out quickly to employees and family members that not only allows them to know who is safe but also the status of work, coworkers, and home and hearth. Establish an email list in order to contact those that may be displaced and to allow all who have an interest to know what the situation at home, work, etc. may be. If a home or business is fortunate enough to be in place once these 'once in a lifetime' storms pass then family members and employees will take great comfort of getting back into the normalcy of a workweek as quickly as possible. Use the opportunity to let them know the situation and give them the option of returning (if they are ready and prepared) or taking the time off necessary in order to get their homes and lives in order. All in all having a plan is the best way to go. There's a lot to understand about emergency plans. We were able to provide you with some of the facts above, but there is still plenty more to write about in subsequent articles. Copyright © Le Tuan Anh
How to capitalize on the digital age
What does being smack dab in the middle of the digital age mean to you? Are you going to sit back and let others cash in, or are you going to do some good for yourself? When it comes down to it, there are many ways that you can capitalize on what the digital age has to offer. No, this is not going to be easy, but the time is now if you want to get involved. Technology is at an all time high, and there are many opportunities for getting your hands on the big bucks that are out there. Before you can capitalize on the digital age you need to get a better idea as to what is available. As you can imagine, some opportunities are probably better for you than others; this is to be expected. If you are going to succeed, you need to choose the one that will set you up for the highest level of success. Here are three ways that you can capitalize on the digital age. At the very least, these should get you thinking about your situation, what is out there, and how you can take advantage. 1. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, you may want to consider starting your own company based around a digital age product or service. For instance, video email is revolutionizing the way that people communicate. This not only holds true among friends and family, but this is a huge tool for many industries as well. If you can help people to better use this tool, it is safe to say that you will be well on your way to cashing in on the digital age. 2. Even though you may have a great idea of your own, putting it into effect is not always going to be a walk in the park. You need to consider how much drive and knowledge you have. And if not enough to venture out on your own, get in touch with companies that are taking advantage of the digital age. They may have a position available that fits your skill set. No, you will not be solely responsible for every aspect of the business, but you will be cashing in on digital age services and/or products nonetheless. 3. You cannot be afraid to try new things. There is a good chance that you may not know much about the digital age, where it has been, or how it is progressing. But with that being said, if you stay intimidated you will never be able to capitalize on the opportunities that are out there. This is not to say that you should sink your life savings into a new venture, but you should calculate your risk and then determine if it is worth going for. Remember, the biggest names in technology sector started out with nothing more than an idea, just like you. As you can see, there are many ways that you can capitalize on the digital age. There are a lot of people who are looking into opportunities such as video email, video blogging, live broadcast, digital content, and much more. If you do not take the time to look into the potential within the digital age, you are doing yourself a major disservice. There is no guarantee that you will make a lot of money within one of these opportunities, but since so many people are interested in them, it is safe to say that you have a good chance if you begin moving in the right direction. All in all, do yourself a favor and get involved with the digital age before the times pass you by. Copyright Paul Majestyck
Protecting your assets
Have you ever wondered what would happen to your assets if you were sued, in a car accident and it was your fault or if you became disabled or even died? Most people consider this question but do very little about taking the necessary steps to protect their assets. The first thing to do is to have a plan in place before anything bad happens to you. Even if you are one of the luck ones and nothing ever bad happens, eventually as a fact, everyone dies. When you die, your bank accounts are frozen, and an executor is appointed to wrap up your estate. This means finding everyone you owed money to, and settling the debts. If you have a family, and all your assets are in your own name, your spouse could be unable to access your funds for up to 2 years. There are three major concerns when it comes to protecting your assets: estate duties, income taxes, and lawsuits. Estate duties When you die, the government claims a percentage of the value of your estate. This amount varies from country to country, and it could be anything from 20% to as much as 55%. The solution to the estate duty problem is to ensure that your estate is worth as little as possible when you die. Moving your assets into a living trust could be a good solution, as the trust is not taxed upon your death. Income tax How do you legally reduce your tax liability? One way is to decrease your income to an absolute minimum. Anything you need could be paid for by a business. For instance, if you need a new laptop, it could be paid for by your corporation or living trust. It is a legitimate business expense, as long as you use it for generating income, and not just for playing games. The expenses of a business are deducted from its income before taxes are calculated. For individuals working for an employer, taxes are deducted before you even get your paycheck. That means that your personal expenses are paid for with after-tax income. If a separate legal entity can pay some of these expenses, it reduces the amount of money you need to earn, and the amount of tax you need to pay. Lawsuits The first thing that happens when someone wants to sue you is that his or her lawyer will try to find out what you are worth. It is not difficult to find out someone's net worth by examining public records. These days, on the internet, it is even easier. What you need to do is look like a poor target. This could mean transferring as many assets as possible into a separate legal entity, which you do not own, but do control. This could be a living trust, or a corporation. It might also mean that you ensure that properties in your own name are mortgaged to the hilt, so that your net asset value (the difference between what you own and what you owe) is as low as possible. Ideally, you want your assets and your income to be as small as possible, so that you are not worth suing you. In conclusion Everyone has different financial needs. Laws are different from country to country, and from state to state. It is essential that you get professional advice from a competent financial advisor before doing anything. If you are in financial trouble, it is already too late. If you transfer assets in order to put them out of reach of your creditors, it may be seen as fraudulent and illegal. You need to have a plan in place before you are sued, and before anyone tries to take your assets away. You may think that you are too young to worry about asset protection, but it is not too early to get a plan in place. It is a clichй, but still true: If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
